The main focus of training is to teach the technique, which can be accomplished with or without a live model. In the event of a model no-show, Student will work on practice headbands which simulate skin and aid in the application of live technique.

Student is responsible for submitting and complying with any regulatory and legal requirements prior to working on live models. If Student fails to submit proof of compliance, they will be ineligible to work on a live model.

Photography and Video

Student must ask for permission from Brow Theory to capture video and/or photographs during training.

General Student Conduct

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times during their training at Brow Theory.

While onsite, permanent makeup students are guests of Brow Theory. As guests, students are required to adhere to Brow Theory policies as if they were employees of Brow Theory. Insubordinate behavior and/or behavior that interferes with the operations of Brow Theory or violates established policies and/or procedures, discredits Brow Theory, or is offensive to Brow Theory clients, visitors, staff, instructors, or fellow students will not be tolerated.

Appropriate action will be taken should a violation occur, including immediate dismissal from any Brow Theory training program without eligibility for refund or for enrollment in any future program.

In such cases where the continued presence of a student constitutes, in the judgment of the instructor, a danger to the health and safety of clients or staff, negligence, impairment, or failure to comply with policies. Brow Theory may temporarily or permanently remove a student from their site and discontinue any/all services.

General Dress Code

Be aware that your personal appearance is as important as your words and actions. Dress code requirements are designed to assure appropriate clothing for the work involved, as well as to project the necessary clean and professional image that is so valuable in building client confidence.

An established dress code serves two purposes:

1) Creates a professional atmosphere that ultimately leads to client confidence.

2) Provides for and maintains staff and student safety.

Attire: Attire should be properly maintained. Attire must be clean and free of stains, wrinkles and odors. Practical shoes must be worn that are well constructed and appropriate for a professional environment. No flip flops or casual sandals are permitted.

Hair: Hair longer than shoulder length will be securely tied back to keep it from coming into contact with clients. Hairstyles are to be conducive to the professional atmosphere of an upscale beauty studio.

Personal Hygiene: Individual hygiene practices should be taken to assure the lack of personal odors that may be offensive to others.

Interaction with Live Clients & Models

Understand that live models and clients are paying patrons of the studio who have graciously agreed to allow students to partake in their procedure for the benefit of education.

Please focus all attention on the concepts and information being delivered by the instructor and keep communication with the client/model to a polite greeting and introduction. Under no circumstances is casual conversation with clients or models permitted while in the studio.

Permanent makeup procedures involve equipment and tools that can be dangerous. Biological factors involved with the transmission of bloodborne pathogens are involved during procedures. All federal and local health and safety standards must be followed by all persons present during live procedures.

For the safety of yourself and others, do no touch or in any way physically contact a live client or model except under the explicit direction of an instructor.

Communication with Your Instructor

Questions, conflicts and concerns which you may have with respect to what is required of you in the studio setting are never debatable at the time of a client procedure or in the presence of a client.

Since you will be in a learning environment, there is no need to feel hesitant about asking questions, seeking clarification, or advice and assistance with any aspect of your training. However, it is essential that all questions, comments, and concerns are addressed prior to or after any live procedure. If necessary, please write down questions that arise during the procedure so they can be addressed at the appropriate time.

Constructive critical analysis of your work and progress is an essential part of the educational process. You will have the opportunity to comment freely and respond to all feedback provided by instructors. Make an effort to take necessary constructive criticism in stride and benefit from it.
